“startling results”? Really?
via The Associated Press: Study: Breast-feeding would save lives, money.
I hardly think it’s startling that breast feeding is a significant factor in the health of babies. Have we really so lost track of ”the magnitude of health benefits” in feeding our children the food that was perfectly designed for them?
In any case, I hope that this study convinces more moms, and doctor,s to consider the dramatic benefits. Apart from the health benefits, breast feeding creates a lovely, loving, and intimate bonding experience. And if you are having problems, or know someone who is, please contact a La Leche League Leader. These women are well-trained (I used to be one of them!) and available to help moms struggling with breast feeding issues of all sorts.
